About Me
As a first generation descendant of Jamaican immigrants, I learned the importance of hard work, dedication and defying the odds. My dad, the son of a textile and factory worker, always stressed to me as a woman of color I have to work twice as hard, be smarter and out work those around me.
Throughout my life, I’ve kept that same moral ethos and have approached every challenge with enthusiasm, creativity, and ceaseless desire to be the best. This passion and drive have inspired an emerging career in insurance and financial services sector, a passion for diversity and inclusion and a desire to foster exceptional relationships both personally and professionally.

My goals are to moving the conversation of diversity and inclusion from the paper to practice, expand a global professional network and build professional expertise in the insurance field. I’m passionate about the insurance industry as its evolving and dynamic with room to grow for industry professionals within all levels of their career. July 2019 - Current
Claims Adjuster
Handling of personal, auto and commercial insurance claims from the first notice of loss, through settlement and resolution. Investigation each claim to obtain relevant facts necessary to determine coverage, causation, extent of liability/establishment of negligence damages, contribution exposure with respect to various coverages.
August 2018- July 2019
Operations CSR
Completed the First Notice of Loss claim set up process for Auto and Property claims administered on behalf of a Third Party Administrator. Audited and verified that data inputs entered correctly and in compliance with the acquired policy details.
August 2017 - July 2018
Service Coordinator
Oversaw the intake, development and reassessment of individualized service plans for eligible and verified consumers. Initiated contact with appropriate service providers to request referrals, followed up to confirm appointments.

Front Desk Coordinator
Maximized product sales and growth for a high end salon and spa company by creating solution based products and services to clients. Managed all front desk tasks, including the consolidation and maintenance of client records and supply data.

Brand Consultant
Managed a team of brand ambassadors to create awareness and drive traffic for the client during trade shows, conventions, and various events across Philadelphia and surrounding area. Communicated marketing teams' plans and accomplishments to align with senior management objectives.

Transition Case Manager
Advocate for clients throughout change of ownership process of inheriting assets from a mutual fund shareholder. Implemented department wide case management template based on Sigma Six methodology which was used to enter details such as account information, demographics and call logs into the account.

What I’ve Learned
Villanova University
Obtained Bachelors of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Business and Women's Studies. Business Minor obtained through The Villanova School of Business 10 week, 16 credit intensive summer program. Served as President of the Caribbean Students Association and studied internationally in Costa Rica and Spain.
